Characteristic Analysis of a New Structure Eccentric Harmonic Magnetic Gear

An eccentric harmonic magnetic gear (EHMG) is better suited for situations requiring larger transmission ratios than magnetic-field-modulated gears. In the meantime, to increase torque density even further, a new structure EHMGs presented in this paper. The stator’s permanent magnets (PMs) are irregularly distributed, while rotor’s PMs applied fan-shaped structure. Moreover, Halbach array adopted both rotor and stator. A two-dimensional finite element (FE) model of proposed EHMG developed, flux distribution calculated verified via FE analysis. When compared conventional EHMG, model’s increases from 38.04 Nm 50.41 Nm. addition, sake avoiding oscillation noise caused by resonance, modal analysis conducted consequences show that it has antivibration properties. Finally, prototype made, test bench established, correctness effectiveness verified.
